Busted: Three suspected car-lifters arrested

Police said the suspects would sell the vehicles to traders in the tribal areas

LAHORE: The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Squad claimed to have arrested three members of a car-snatching gang on Tuesday. The suspects were arrested in Model Town by a special police team. The team raided a hideout on a tip-off and arrested the suspects identified as Imdad Hussain alias Malik, Wali Khan and Kashif alias Kashi. Police also recovered 21 stolen cars and illegal weapons from them. The recovered cars included 11 Toyota Corolla, three Honda City, one Honda Civic, three Suzuki Mehran, one Suzuki Khyber, one auto-rickshaw and one motorcycle. Police said the suspects would sell the vehicles to traders in the tribal areas.
