
Smriti Irani, who is a Minister for Textiles, approached a cobbler in Coimbatore, a city in Tamil Nadu, after her slipper strap had snapped as she got down from a flight to address a gathering.
Although the cobbler asked for Rs10, the minister handed him Rs100, saying “Change venda [change not needed]”, according to NDTV.
