LAHORE: Motorcycles belonging to the Extended Programme of Immunisation (EPI) and being used by unauthorised officials of the Health Department should be returned and to vaccinators, directed Health secretary Fawad Hasan Fawad.
He was speaking at the District Health Officers Conference on Saturday. He also said that his office be provided with the list of officials who were using the motorcycles within a week. The secretary also asked that Health Department vehicles being illegally used by officers of other departments should immediately be returned to the department.
He warned the officers that they would face action if their performance, during the campaign, was not up to the mark. Fawad directed that payments to officials participating in anti-polio campaign be made through cheques.
