JCP meets on 28th: PHC CJ nominates five new additional judges
The JCP will also consider the confirmation of two additional judges of the Islamabad High Court

Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel has shared his five hand-picked choices for appointment as additional judges with the Judicial Commission of Pakistan.
Sources claimed that Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali has summoned the JCP meeting on November 28 for the appointment of five additional judges in the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
The sources said that the nominees included two sessions judges – Muhammad Bashir and Muhammad Ayub Marwat – and three lawyers, including advocates Umer Farooq, Muzammil Khan and Mian Hussain Ali.
Muhammad Bashir is a judge in a provincial anti-corruption court in Peshawar while Muhammad Ayub Marwat is an Ehtesab Court judge.
Umer Farooq is working as assistant prosecutor-general in the provincial chapter of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Muzammil Khan is the president of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association.
There are 15 judges currently working in PHC while the total strength of high court is 20.
The JCP will also consider the confirmation of two additional judges of the Islamabad High Court – Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb.
Their tenures will expire on December 23.
