Footage showcases slender bodies of whales with a sickle-shaped dorsal fin that confirms they are Bryde’s whales
Two pods of Bryde’s whales were seen by fishermen along the coast of Sindh on Saturday.
World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF) - Pakistan-trained fisherman and alAzaan fishing boat captain Iqrar Muhammad claimed that he observed a pod of five whales feeding on a school of fish and pelagic shrimps about 15 kilometres off Hajamro Creek.

WWF calls for crack down on 'tiger farms'
Another WWF-Pakistan trained fisherman, Hasnat Khan, recorded three Bryde’s whales on the same day about 40 miles south of Khajar Creek. The footage showcases slender bodies of whales with a sickle-shaped dorsal fin that confirms that these are Bryde’s whales.
“The Bryde’s whale is among the three rorqual or baleen whales found in Pakistani waters,” states a press statement released by WWF-Pakistan.
