Fraud Case: LHC grants pre-arrest bail to actor
The actor was accused by a woman of fraudulently selling her property
LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court granted pre-arrest bail on Wednesday to actor Salomi Rana in a fraud case.
The female artiste appeared before the court along with her counsel and argued she was implicated in a fabricated case.
Her lawyer said Islampura police had registered the FIR on the complaint of a woman, who accused his client of fraudulently selling a property.
He contended the case was lodged after a delay of 10 months after the actual property deal that was enough to prove the charges were baseless. Justice Alia Neelum accepted the plea and granted pre-arrest bail to Salomi, subject to furnishing of the surety bond.
On Wednesday, stage actress Kismat Baig was shot by unidentified armed men in Lahore. The actress was travelling with her guard when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at her car at Harbanspura, near Palki wedding hall.
