Bowlers claim four wickets each to steer side to 10-wicket win over NBP

Four-wicket hauls each by Usman Shinwari and Abdul Rehman guided HBL to an emphatic win as they defeated NBP by 10 wickets in the first round of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Super Eight at the SBP Cricket Ground yesterday.
NBP, trailing by 124 runs, resumed their second innings on 36-2 but were only able to add only 148 runs before being dismissed for 184 and setting a small target of 25 runs. Usman Sallahuddin (56) was the top scorer for NBP.
HBL reached the target in seven overs with 10 wickets remaining as Fakhar Zaman scored 18 runs off 26 balls, while Azeem Ghumman contributed six runs.

Meanwhile, the match at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad between KRL and UBL ended in a draw. On the final day, KRL resumed their second innings on 232-6 against UBL and lost four wickets after adding 63 runs to their 295-run total setting a target of 349 runs.
For UBL, Yasim Murtaza and Sameen Gul took four and three wickets respectively giving away 66 and 56 runs.
At the end of play, UBL were on 233-8 courtesy Murtaza (48), Sohaib Maqsood (46) and Shan Masood (45). Muhammad Abbas took three wickets for KRL with Nayyar Abbas and Yasir Ali dismissing two batsmen each to end the match in a draw.

Earlier on Monday, four-wicket hauls by Zulfiqar Babar and Naseer Akram helped WAPDA register a 189-run win against SNGPL.
On the third day of the match, WAPDA resumed their second innings on 155-7 and lost the remaining wickets on 183, setting a target of 342.
SNGPL, meanwhile, were only allowed to reach 152 before being dismissed as Babar and Akram finished with figures of 4-14 and 4-18 respectively.
