Tragic end: Road accidents claim three lives

The police took the bus into its custody

FAISALABAD: At least three people were killed and 18 others were injured in different accidents on Monday.

In the first incident, a Sadiqabad-bound bus collided with a van near Darapur Stop on Pensara-Gojra Road. As a result, Muhammad Rafique died on the spot, while 15 others were injured. The injured were shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

In yet another road accident, two persons were killed while three others suffered injuries in Jaranwala Tehsil.

Police said Zafar, his wife, seven-year-old son Faizan and daughter Fizza were travelling on a motorcycle from Shahkot to Jaranwala when a bus hit their two-wheeler near Daramanwala Mor.

As a result, Faizan was killed on the spot while Zafar, his wife and daughter were injured. The police took the bus into its custody. However, the driver fled the scene.

Meanwhile, Iqbal Bibi was crushed-to-death by a vehicle near Chak No 26 in Saddar police limits.
