Two members of an outlawed group were killed in a search operation by the security forces in Dera Bugti district on Friday. Official sources said that the Frontier Corps launched an operation in the Doiwad area of Dera Bugti district after receiving a tip off about the presence of militants. It is believed that the two were involved in attacking security forces and carrying out other subversive activities. The FC spokesman said that the militants were killed in a two- hour shootout. “Both men belonged to the outlawed Baloch Republican Army.” Meanwhile, FC troops also foiled a sabotage attempt by defusing a bomb planted by militants in Sui. According to an FC spokesman, a 10-kg IED was planted along the roadside in Sui town.
