MIRPUR:
The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Islamic Ideological Council (IIC) has passed a resolution condemning human rights abuses and atrocities being committed by Indian forces in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The resolution came as AJK President Masood Khan said that India cannot suppress the voices of Kashmiri people victimised by Indian aggression.

The council has called upon the UN and other human rights bodies to take notice of the Indian barbarities in the occupied valley. The AJK IIC passed the resolution in its 93rd meeting chaired by its chairman, AJK Chief Justice Azam Khan in Muzaffarabad.

The IIC meeting reviewed AJK Auqaaf Act 1960, AJK Cooperative Law 1967, Baitul Maal Act 1950, AJK Education Cess law 1975, and West Pakistan Highway Ordinance 1959.

The meeting also reviewed the progress on the recommendations of IIC and other affairs of the IIC Secretariat and directed the official concerned to take appropriate steps for the early implementation of the recommendation of the council.
