Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq said this while speaking to journalists in Bahawalpur on Friday.
He added they also visited Saudi Arabia and Qatar but were never gifted steel mills.
Sirajul Haq said, “Pakistan is facing a grave challenge as situation on its borders is critical. India is losing badly in Kashmir and to consolidate the defeat India is escalating cross border firing.”
He further said, “More than 200,000 people have sacrificed lives in Kashmir and it is the responsibility of the government to raise the issue on an international forum.”
He said the government could not bring change for common man as the rich is getting richer, while poor is getting poorer. The JI chief maintained thousands of people in the country were homeless, millions of children do not attend schools, while more than 35% population was deprived of clean water.
He pointed out, “The present government’s promise of eliminating load-shedding by 2018 seems a distant dream.”
Sirajul Haq said the previous and present rulers promised to restore Bahawalpur as a province but Steps in this regard were never taken.
