Pakistan blind team seals whitewash

Australia beaten in third Twenty20 by 89 runs.

LAHORE:
The Pakistan blind cricket team completed a series whitewash against Australia after they beat the hosts comprehensively by 89 runs in the third and final Twenty20.

Pakistan, opting to bat first, posted 217 for four with Muhammad Jameel shining once again with a 65-ball 104. Anees Javeed provided good support with an unbeaten 50 runs off just 25 balls.


In reply, Australia lost just two wickets but could manage only 128. Lindsay Heaven was Australia’s highest scorer with 49 while Mathew Horsey scored 24. Muhammad Waqas and Muhammad Mudassar grabbed a wicket each, the latter’s effort brining his first international wicket.

Following the comprehensive win, the two teams will lock horns for the first one-day match tomorrow.
