MULTAN:
Businessmen of Multan have suggested that a southern zone chapter of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and industry (FPCCI) should be established in the city as it will help resolve their problems.
Speaking to representatives of trade associations and chambers of commerce of south Punjab, Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi underlined the need for focusing on the southern region as well as female entrepreneurs because both had been neglected in the past six decades.
He emphasised that the FPCCI would have to come forward to meet the future challenges faced by the business community.
The trade representatives pledged to work together for developing a policy framework. They were unanimous in their view that efforts should be made to make Multan a focal point for the CPEC project.
