MULTAN: Sri Lankan authorities have sought Expressions of Interest (EoI) from Pakistani companies for the construction of two modern hotels near Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka’s Airport and Aviation Services Limited (AASL) has sent letters to all the chambers of commerce and industries in Pakistan including the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), according to MCCI spokesman Khurram Javed. He said many investors from the southern part of Punjab were taking interest in it and the EoIs were sought till Dec 7.

According to the letter received by Pakistani chambers, the two hotels should have at least four-star facilities in accordance with Sri Lanka’s Tourism Regulation and Tourism Act of 2005. Both the hotels should cater to the needs of airlines’ crew members and passengers.
