Encounter: Police shoot dead suspected robber

LAHORE: A suspected robber was gunned down while another was detained in an injured condition after a police encounter in Faisal Town on Tuesday. Two motorcyclists were passing through a picket in Faisal Town when policemen signalled them to stop. The suspects, however, opened fire on the law enforcers. In the ensuing encounter, both of the suspects were critically injured and shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced one of them dead on arrival. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Sarwar while the other man was named Shah Zaman.
