CPEC: Optimism route issue will be resolved

Jamali said the project would not only benefit China-Pak but would have a positive impact on Central Asian states

QUETTA: Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Quetta Founder-president Fehmida Jamali is optimistic that reservations about western route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will be resolved amicably and hailed the arrival of first Chinese trade consignment of 85 containers carrying export goods through the western route. Jamali said the project would not only benefit China and Pakistan but would have a positive impact on Iran, Afghanistan, Central Asian states and the entire region. About $4.5 billion of the planned investment in the corridor will go to road infrastructure, with two-thirds of the total $46-billion investment being pumped into energy projects.
