In bizarre 'birther' twist, TV channel claims Trump is Pakistani
Ironically, Donald Trump was once convinced that President Barack Obama was born outside of the United States, leading the 'brither' movement against him.
Now the president-elect is facing his own mini 'birther' moment, with Pakistani television channel Neo News claiming the New Yorker was born as Dawood Ibrahim Khan in Waziristan in 1946. "Believe it or not, presidential candidate Donald Trump was born in Pakistan and not in America," the presenter claimed in the report.

The news piece which was initially run ahead of the US presidential elections, re-surfaced following Trump's election. According to the report, a young Trump was taken to the United Kingdom by a British army sergeant after his parents were killed in a car accident, following which he was taken to the United States in 1955.
The channel also showed a picture of an alleged picture of a young blonde boy, claiming it was that of the American business tycoon. It also said he received his early education in the country.
However, the report did not go down well with Twitterati who ridiculed the report for being the most absurd thing to have come out of Pakistani media, and that is saying something.
