NICL reemployed three officers as chief manager, general manager and manager.

LAHORE:
Another scam perpetrated by the management of the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) was unearthed after it was learnt that it had reemployed three officers as chief manager, general manager and manager.

These retired government servants include Abdul Latif Hazarvi, Ali Asghar and Farooq Ahmad Khan, and the three of them were hired again just a day after their retirements.

Chief Manager (Technical) Abdul Latif Hazarvi is getting a salary of Rs104,000, besides drawing a pension of Rs27,000 per month.

General Manager (HR) Ali Asghar gets Rs95,546 as monthly salary apart from Rs25,000 as pension, while Manager, Transport, Farooq Ahmad Khan is getting a salary of Rs64,373 apart from Rs21,891 in pension every month.

These officials are also entitled to hundreds of litres of fuel every month and medical facility equal to a month’s salary every year.

The zonal president of the NICL employees’ union (CBA) Rana Muhammad Ashfaq told The Express Tribune that the reemployment of these officers is a clear violation of the Supreme Court’s verdict and urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu action in this regard.
