LAHORE:
The Lahore High Court on Monday granted bail to a suspect accused in the murder of former MPA Rana Shamshad and two others.
Justice Shahid Hameed Dar heard the case and granted bail to Waheedullah, who was on the charge sheet for murdering one of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s front men from Gujranwala along with his son.
Counsel for accused submitted he was implicated in the case on a personal grudge and political rivalry.
He said the suspect was not nominated in the FIR but later in the supplementary investigation. He said the other four suspects had already been granted bail. He said his client would abide by court proceedings and would not avoid his appearances before court.
