Erdogan’s state visit: PTI team meets Turkey’s envoy today

ISLAMABAD: A PTI delegation, led by party’s vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, will meet Turkey’s ambassador to Pakistan Sadik Barbur Girgin on Monday (today) to discuss the upcoming state visit of the Turkish President to Pakistan. The development occurred a day after the PTI announced it would not attend the joint sitting of Parliament that is scheduled to be addressed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on November 17. A press statement issued by PTI  read “On (the) ambassador’s request, a PTI delegation will meet him on Monday (today) to discuss the upcoming visit of the Turkish President.”
