Scrutiny of judges: Lawyers urge SJC to decide references chronologically
Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA) has also demanded the early disposal of the references against judges

The legal fraternity has expressed concern at the disposal of complaints against the superior court judges by the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC)
Holding a press conference on Friday, the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) Vice Chairman Farogh Nasim and the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Rasheed A Rizvi urged the SJC to decide chronologically all pending references against superior court judges. Both the representatives belong to the Professional Lawyers group, which is also known as Hamid Khan Group.
Last week, Asma Jahangir group had also supported the petition of its member, Raheel Kamran Sheikh, who had sought disclosure of number of references pending against judges before SJC with the plea to decide them expeditiously. Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA) has also demanded the early disposal of the references against judges.
