PM to break ground on Shangla Hill Interchange on Nov 1
Motorway to facilitate people traveling from Shangla Hills to Isb, Lhr, Sargodha, Chiniot, Faisalabad and Jhang

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is likely to perform groundbreaking ceremony of the Shangla Hills Interchange built on the Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad Motorway on Friday (tomorrow).
A senior official of the National Highway Authority (NHA) told The Express Tribune that the 3.7 kilometres long interchange with a 440 meters long service road has been constructed at the cost of Rs299.2 million.
It will facilitate people traveling from Shangla Hills towards Islamabad, Lahore, Sargodha, Chiniot, Chak Jhumra, Faisalabad and Jhang, he said. Similarly, people travelling from Lahore to Sheikhupura and Faisalabad will have easy access to the Pindi Bhattian-Faisalabad Motorway, he said.
Moreover, commercial traffic at the under-construction industrial zone at Faisalabad can also commute on this interchange, said the official.
The interchange will link surrounding areas with the motorway and highway networks which will open new avenues for development of the region, he said.
Earlier, Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Chaudhry Bargees Tahir announced that along with the inauguration of the interchange, PM Nawaz Sharif is also expected to announce a package of development projects for the people living in Shangla Hills.
