Corporate corner: ICMA participates in SAFA events
The committee president Muhammad Iqbal Ghauri is also the president of ICMA Pakistan
KARACHI:
The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA) participated in the SAFA events, held from November 3 to 5 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The programme included a conference, which was held in collaboration with the World Bank, and its purpose was to promote ‘Public Financial Reporting’ on Regional Seminars in the South Asian region. Currently, the SAFA committee chairmanship is with Pakistan. The committee president Muhammad Iqbal Ghauri is also the president of ICMA Pakistan. The aim and objective of this conference was to make policymakers and stakeholders aware of comprehensive financial reporting and the importance of transparency and accountability for economic and financial preparations.
