Clarification: Chandio denies statement against Shias

A fake post was circulated and some elements are working on their negative agenda

KARACHI: Information adviser Maula Bux Chandio has denied making any statement regarding the Shia community and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He said that a negative propaganda was initiated against him on social media. "I did not give any comments," he said. "A fake post was circulated and some elements are working on their negative agenda." He denied the statement on social media that quoted him as saying that, "Iran supports Shias to create law and order in Karachi."

The information adviser said that he will take action against the culprits who put fake post on social media against him.

He further said that Pakistan Peoples Party does not believe in sectarian discrimination.

"Anti-state elements will never succeed in their ill will," he said, adding that people who are living in the land of Sindh do not believe in any religious discrimination.
