Adjournment motion: PTI takes smog issue to legislature
The motion claims there are 764 centres of pollution in Lahore

PTI lawmaker Saadia Sohail has submitted an adjournment motion in Punjab Assembly, expressing concern over the growing pollution in Lahore allegedly owing to ongoing development projects. The motion draws attention towards increasing ailments troubling the citizens and comes in the wake of severe smog that has engulfed the city since last week. The motion claims there are 764 centres of pollution in Lahore. All the sites are close to areas where a large number of people are reported to be suffering from illnesses. Saadia’s motion states the district government, environmental and development departments had turned a blind eye to the worrying situation.
