Suspects involved in Amjad Sabri's murder arrested: Sindh CM
The gang accused of executing nine ‘major’ terror incidents, says Murad Ali Shah
The provincial counter-terrorism department (CTD) has arrested a gang of terrorists involved in various incidents of targeted killings, including the murder of famous qawwal Amjad Sabri in Karachi.
“These terrorists were involved in carrying out several high profile terror incidents, including the killing of military personnel,” Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah told reporters on Monday. “The gang was also involved in targeting at least two majlis [Shia gatherings]."
He added, “The same gang also had ties in the killing of Amjad Sabri."
The qawwali maestro had been shot dead by motorcycle-borne gunmen in Karachi’s Liaquatabad in June this year when he was traveling from his home to a television studio to attend an iftar transmission.

Shah said a huge cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the possession of those arrested by the CTD. “The ongoing operation in Karachi is not against any specific community but terrorists.”
There was 'conclusive proof' two were involved in nine ‘major’ terror incidents, the CM added.
