Devolution: Request to retain PTDC in federal govt
The committee assured the govt that PTDC would continue its efforts to enhance the image of Pakistan internationally.
ISLAMABAD:
Standing Committee on Tourism and Culture requested the federal government to retain Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) in the control of the federal government. This was discussed in the meeting of Standing Committee of Tourism and Culture held in Rawalpindi on Sunday, with Senator Nilofar Bakhtiar chairing the session.
The committee assured the govt that PTDC would continue its efforts to enhance the image of Pakistan internationally. The chairperson directed PTDC on the preparation of a special Ramzan package for tourists and ensure the visa process was simplified for the people of India and other European countries visiting Pakistan to perform their religious duties.
Managing Director PTDC informed the committee that facility centres are being set up in all provinces of Pakistan, wherein internet and other facilities would be provided.
