Pakistani troops befittingly responded to Indian fire

Indian forces once again violated the ceasefire along the LoC on Sunday, ISPR said.
According to the military’s media wing, Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing in the Battal sector of the LoC on Sunday morning. “Pakistani troops befittingly responded to Indian fire,” the ISPR statement said, adding that the exchange of fire was still ongoing. On the other hand, the Indian army claimed two of its soldiers were killed in shelling by Pakistani forces.
Meanwhile, Army chief General Raheel Sharif arrived in the exercise area around the Kharian/Gujranwala area on Sunday, ISPR said. It added that the he will witness maneuvers as part of the ongoing Army Field Exercise being carried out by Central Command troops. (WITH ADDITIONAL INPUT FROM REUTERS)
