Police arrest SSP man in Karachi

Police official says accused confessed to killing three people, provided information of associates.

KARACHI:
Police on Tuesday arrested a member of banned militant group Sipah-e-Sahaba-Punjab in Karachi.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Naeem Shaikh said that Sajid Ali was involved in three target killings and had confessed to his involvement in them.


He said that Ali was involved in the killing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker Yawar Abbas in PIB Colony, Rashid Chotu in North Karachi and Muhammad Musa in North Nazimabad.

SSP Shaikh said the arrested man had provided the police with information on his associates and raids will be conducted to arrest them.
