Adopt latest tools for publicity: minister
The state minister issued these directives during her visit to PID on Friday

ISLAMABAD:
Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Maryam Aurangzeb asked the ministry and Press Information Department (PID) to adopt modern techniques and tools of publicity in the field of social media to promote and project a positive image of Pakistan.
The state minister issued these directives during her visit to PID on Friday, where Principal Information Officer (PIO) Rao Tehsin Ali Khan briefed the minister.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary IB&NH Saba Mohsin Raza and other senior officials of the ministry. She said that the present democratic government believes in freedom of expression.
She also directed the officials to ensure transparency and fairness in the working of PID.
Yawar Hayat’s death
The minster also expressed her deep grief and sorrow over the demise of the former senior drama director of PTV Yawar Hayat.
She said that the country has lost one of its great assets and creative minds. The minister said his contribution in the field of drama would be remembered.
