Priyanka Chopra opens up on her 'fake accent'

Priyanka Chopra is pulling out all the stops when it comes to promoting her upcoming Hollywood debut film, Baywatch. After appearing on popular shows like The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the Chelsea Handler talk show, the diva made her debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

When questioned on whether she had trouble with the American accent, Priyanka hit back in style as expected. She confessed that it took her some time to adjust to the American accent.



"This is my fake accent, my Indian accent is the fake accent," she joked with Meyers.

PeeCee revealed she had a tough time learning some American words required in the movie.

"Words and phrases. So I’ve come to the conclusion that there are lot of phrases in America which are meant to just confuse people who come from outside."

She went on to share her ordeal with "rolling her R's". "For example, I would say the word 'terrorism'. But here, I was supposed to roll them all out and just say ‘terism’"



She shared her memories of watching Baywatch with her mother in India. The actor also performed the classic slow motion Baywatch run for the audience that left everyone in fits of laughter.
