The Judicial Commission of Pakistan on Thursday approved names of four district and sessions judges
LAHORE:
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan on Thursday approved names of four district and sessions judges and 10 advocates for their appointment as additional judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
The commission headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Anwar Zaheer Jamali approved all the 14 nominees presented by the LHC chief justice in a meeting held at Supreme Court, Islamabad.
The sessions judges approved by the commission include Mujahid Mustaqeem, Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad, Abdul Sattar and Habibullah Amir.
The approved nominees from the bar include Advocate Muhammad Bashir Paracha, Additional Prosecutor General Asjad Javed Ghural, Advocate Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Advocate Jawwad Hassan, Additional Prosecutor General Ahmad Raza Gillani, Deputy Attorney General Muzammil Akhtar Shabbir, Assistant Advocate General Mudassir Khalid Abbasi, Advocate Abdul Rehman Aurangzeb (Bahawalpur), Advocate Muhammad Ali (Rawalpindi) and Advocate Ch Abdul Aziz (Rawalpindi).
