New Zealand thrash Pakistan women

KARACHI:
Pakistan Women’s completed their miserable 2010 Women’s World Twenty20 campaign with a six-wicket loss against New Zealand in St Kitts.

Having earlier lost to Sri Lanka and India, a harder test awaited Pakistan against the Kiwis and one they failed miserably at as well. Restricted to 65 for nine after opting to bat first, the match was over in only the ninth over of New Zealand’s innings with the Kiwis losing only four wickets. Sadiq Yousuf remained the pick of the bowlers as she claimed two wickets for nine runs. Earlier, Sania Khan top scored for Pakistan after they had slumped to 22 for four.

Three more wickets fell when the score was 30 and with the late order not providing any fireworks, Pakistan completed their lowest total in the tournament. And despite a wicket in the first over, Pakistan atrociuous batting meant the match was going only one way.
