FAISALABAD: At least 13,106 operations were conducted during a month at a free eye camp in Darul Hikmat Darul Shafa Hospital in Faisalabad. The eye camp that remained functional from October 1 to 31 concluded on Monday.

During the camp, 13,106 eye operations were conducted, while 41,191 patients were examined by doctors.

While addressing the ceremony, eye camp chairperson Khalid Latif Mughal said more than 80 eye specialists performed duties in the free eye camp.

He added services of 14 doctors were provided by health department, while other doctors extended voluntarily services. He said 250 paramedical staff assisted the doctors during the process of medical examination and eye operations.

On the conclusion, Khalid distributed cash prizes and commendation certificate among the doctors and paramedical staff.
