KU announcement: Admissions to commence from Nov 7

KARACHI: Admissions for academic year 2017 at the University of Karachi (KU) will commence from November 7, 2016, said a press statement issued by the varsity on Monday.

It was further decided that open merit admissions in Bachelor’s and Master’s morning programmes will commence from November 28 while admissions for Bachelor’s and Master’s evening programme will commence from December 12. The admission on reserved and donor seats will open on November 14.

The admission dates were decided in a meeting of the KU admission committee which was chaired by admissions director Prof Dr Khalid Iraqi.

It was decided that the admissions for Doctor of Pharmacy (morning and evening programmes) and Bachelor’s and Master’s morning programmes will commence from November 7.

In Bachelor’s programme, admissions will be open for departments of applied physics, biotechnology, business administration, chemical engineering, commerce, computer science, economics, education, English, environmental studies, food science and technology, international relations, mass communication, mathematics, microbiology, petroleum technology, public administration, special education and teacher education.
