"India yet again resorted to unprovoked firing on LoC in Kel, Nakyal and Jandrut sectors today," ISPR said. "Pakistani troops are befittingly responding and targeting Indian posts," the statement added.
Earlier on October 28, Indian firing on civilian population in Nakyal sector Chafrigahi village killed three people including a woman and a child and injured five others.
On October 27, firing on Working Boundary in Chaprar and Harpal sectors and on the LoC in Bhimber sector resulted in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to nine.

On the same day, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Indian violations on the LoC, if continued, will not go unpunished. He pointed out that Pakistan has exercised maximum restraint and that the quest for peace must not be misconstrued as a sign of weakness.
The premier also made it clear that Pakistan is a peace loving nation and believes in resolution of all outstanding issues and disputes through dialogue.
At least six civilians have been killed, and 21 injured as a result of Indian violations in less than a week. India and Pakistan have been involved in a tense verbal and diplomatic spat over the security situation in held Kashmir and frequent skirmishes on the Line of Control (LoC).

More than 100 protesters have been killed in the held valley while several incidents of unprovoked Indian aggression on the LoC have frequently occurred in recent past.
On July 8, Indian forces killed a populist rebel leader Burhan Wani, sparking clashes and highlighting the grave situation in the held valley.
