Energy Needs: G-B govt set to harness hydropower

The CM said a regional grid is being set up to ensure smooth distribution of electricity

Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Hafeezur Rehman says government is taking measures to harness potential in hydropower sector to overcome energy shortage. Talking to a delegation in Gilgit on Friday, he said provincial government has prepared feasibility report for production of 388 megawatt hydropower in Gilgit-Baltistan. The CM said a regional grid is being set up to ensure smooth distribution of electricity.
