The annual meeting of the Pakistan Nursing Council was held at its secretariat in the federal capital.
Nurses from all over the country participated in the meeting, chaired by PNC President Dr Rafat Jan. The purpose of the session was to address issues related to the profession.
Dr Jan told members that the registration card issuing system had been improved and backlogs of cases were a thing of the past. He confirmed new registration cards were being issued according to a routine schedule.

The list of registration cards returned to PNC due to incorrect addresses has been uploaded on the PNC website for the nurses’ information.
She further stated that an online registration system has already been launched. Jan requested members to play their role in creating awareness among nursing professionals about the facility.
It was decided in the meeting that nurses who had not renewed their registration for a long time would be granted a late fee concession. They can now renew memberships by paying Rs3,000 by December 31.
The forum was informed that a policy for registering foreign and refugee nurses would be finalised after due consultations with relevant departments.
