Pakistan Army befittingly responds to the violations, says ISPR

A woman was killed, and seven other people injured as Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing at the Shakargarh sector of the Working Boundary on Wednesday.

According to the ISPR, Pakistan Army befittingly responded to ceasefire violation. “Flames were seen at the Indian check posts after Pakistani forces gave an effective response to silence the enemy's guns,” the military’s media wing said.

The exchange of fire took place at around 8pm at Jandroot and Nakyal sectors.

The violation comes a day after five Indian troops cross-border fire ‘left five Indian soldiers dead’ and destroyed four military posts.

“Five Indian soldiers have been confirmed to have shot and four Indian posts [were] destroyed at Bhimber sector,” sources in the military had said.
