State-run hospitals: Additional medical staff approved
The meeting reviewed the human resource requirements of several different public hospitals

Chief Minister’s Adviser Health Khawaja Salman Rafique has said increasing number of patients in government hospitals is proof that the public trusts medical facilities in state-run hospitals. He stated this while chairing a meeting in the office of health secretary primary and secondary yesterday. The meeting reviewed the human resource requirements of several different public hospitals including Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) and Dialysis Centre, Muridke and THQ Hospital Raiwind among others. The meeting approved requests for additional staff to the hospitals, which include gynaecologists, medical officers, women medical officers, ear, nose and throat surgeons, charge nurses, operation theatre attendants, laboratory and X-rays technicians, lady health visitors and ward boys.
