Intermediate Part 1 exams: Deadline for submission of forms extended to Feb 25

The eight boards of intermediate and secondary educations across Punjab have extended the deadline.

RAWALPINDI:
The eight boards of intermediate and secondary educations across Punjab have extended the deadline to submit application forms for Intermediate Part 1 to February 25. The previous deadline for submission of application forms was February 19.

Students have been asked to submit their applications manually instead of online, as previously instructed. The board staff’s vacations have been put on hold till March 5. They have been asked to come in on Sunday.

The online website is completely down, which has created a shortage of application forms as well. So some people have started selling application forms in the black market for Rs250 per form.

When approached about the shortage of forms, the boards’ administrations said they will ensure that everybody gets a chance to submit their application.

They added the website will be fixed soon and made functional.

The Punjab government had made it mandatory for matriculation and intermediate students to submit their admission forms online, ending the manual submission method.

The change affected all eight education boards of Punjab, which include Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala.

Students’ date sheets and roll numbers were also to be given out through the new online system.

But the website went down because of a possible virus, putting the registration information of 0.8 million students in danger of being gone.
