NADRA to register nomads, BISP beneficiaries

NADRA decides to launch campaign through mobile vehicles to reach out to people living in slums.

ISLAMABAD:
The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has decided to launch a campaign through mobile vehicles to reach out to people living in slums and nomadic families to get them registered and provide them computerised National Identity Cards (NICs).

According to a press statement issued after a meeting between chairperson of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Farzana Raja and deputy chairman (NADRA) Tariq Malik, the participants of the meeting agreed that NADRA will enhance the pace of providing computerized NICs to beneficiary families of the BISP.


“Mobile Registration Vehicles (MRVs) will be used to reach out to nomadic families,” the statement added.
