Books for all: Three-day book fair at MNSAU concludes

Around 150 book stalls were set up

MULTAN: A three-day book festival concluded at Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Agricultural University (MNSAU) in Multan on Saturday.

A large number of students and faculty members from various schools and colleges visited the book fair.

Around 150 book stalls were set up and around 0.3 million books on Urdu and English literature, general knowledge, History, Islam and textbooks were put on display. The books were sold at 35 percent discounted rate. Moreover, some students were offered 50 percent discount on each book.

Ayyan Alam, a student at the university, said books were sold at cheaper rates at the book fair, adding such events should be organised frequently for the benefit of poor students.

MNSAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Asif Ali said over 20,000 people belonging to various walks of life visited the book fair.
