The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved Rs 1,400 million PC-1 for the extension of the area of the Marghazar Zoo from 25 acres to 80 acres.
The authority will utilise available resources for the uplift of Marghzaar Zoo and to make it financially sustainable, said CDA Member Administration, Suleman Warriach, while visiting the zoo.
He said the extended and upgraded zoo will provide healthy recreational activities and entertainment to visitors. Due to shortage of funds, the extension will be carried out in phases, Warraich said.
