NEW DELHI:
At a time when Bollywood celebrities are opening up about facing issues like body shaming, Parineeti Chopra remains coy. The actor says that while she feels at ease sharing other aspects of her life with the public, her love life, in particular, is not for everyone to know.

“I would like to be private just about my love life because there is so much scrutiny. There are so many people in the world who are looking at you and judging you. I just don’t want that between me and my partner and as respect to him, I shouldn’t be talking about it,” Chopra stated, in a recent interview.

Other than that, the 27-year-old is comfortable with her life being out in the open. “Because my life is out there for everybody to be involved in, so I would like to share everything that’s going on and am happy to do that,” Chopra added. Asked for her opinion on actors speaking about themselves in public, the Ishaqzaade star said, “It’s great! Some people are private, some people are comfortable talking. Obviously, as actors, the whole world gets to know whatever is happening in our lives because it is reported by the media. But we can choose what information to put out there.”

Chopra, who made her Bollywood debut in 2011’s Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, also claimed that while her launch into the industry came easily, the struggle after that was anything but. “Clinching other films, performing and those films doing well or not was a struggle,” said the actor.

“Right now, I’m in a good place and happy with the things that are happening.”

The National Award winner describes herself as a positive and an energetic personality. “But when something is bothering me deep down, it’s tough to fight that,” Chopra shared. “What’s happening in my personal life or what’s happening to me emotionally really affects the tone of the day. As I am growing up and becoming mature, I am learning,” she added.
