The police have booked at least two Capital Development Authority (CDA) officials for allegedly damaging and stealing fiber optic cables installed by a private internet and telephone service provider. The Aabpara police booked deputy directors Johar Ali and Ashraf Ranjha for theft and damages. A number of unidentified CDA workers were also booked. Sub-inspector Zulfiqar Ahmed, the investigation officer of the case, said Nayatel had maintained that CDA officials damaged their cables during construction work on a road in Sector G-6. The case was registered after Nayatel petitioned a sessions court.
