PESHAWAR:
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chapter of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) scrambled to put together arrangements for the Islamabad lockdown that was recently announced by the party’s chief Imran Khan.

PTI’s Peshawar region president Shah Farman said that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chapter would fully support the Islamabad protest and “hundreds of thousands of party workers will join Imran in the federal capital”.

According to him, PTI’s provincial chapter would stage processions in Peshawar, Mardan and Charsadda as part of the party’s public mobilisation campaign.


He said that PTI would also set up camps for educating party workers and local residents about the importance of locking down the federal capital against corruption.

He said that party workers would use all means, including public transport vehicles and trains, to reach the protest venue.
