Sector d-12: CDA directed to carry out landscaping

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has completed installation work of street lights in sector D-12 in record time of just one month, a statement issued by the authority said on Sunday.

Sector D-12 was opened around three decades ago, however, due to misplaced priorities and delayed decision making development work in the sectors could not be completed even today, Islamabad Mayor and CDA Chairman Anser Aziz said while inspecting development work in the sector .

He directed the Environment Wing to establish five parks, carry out landscaping on the median strips and areas along the roads and plant trees along all major roads of sector D-12.

He said that lax decision making has not only impeded the development of the sectors but also resulted in cost escalation of development activities.
