Cards will help special people to fulfill their financial needs

BAHAWALPUR: In a bid to bring special persons into the socio-economic scenario of the country, at least 116 special persons have been provided employment in various government departments.

This was stated by Baitul Maal Senior District Officer Yasin Baloch on Sunday. He was addressing a special ceremony on the eve of International White Cane Safety Day which was held at District Council Hall, Bahawalpur.

Yasin said a special quota had been fixed for people with disability for MPhil and PhD classes at higher academic institutions.

On the occasion, Divisional Coordinator for blind persons Aneesur Rehman said people with disability were awarded Khidmat cards for financial assistance.

He said the cards will help special people to fulfill their financial needs.

Later, 70 white canes were distributed among special persons.
