Sunday bazaar: Vegetable prices show mixed trend  

The price of local carrots witnessed a 41% increase, rising to Rs45/kg

LAHORE: A mixed price trend was witnessed in the weekly Sunday bazaars. The prices of most seasonal vegetables showed marginal fluctuation except onions and radishes, which were available for Rs19 to Rs22 and Rs8 to Rs10 per kilogramme (kg) respectively. The official price list showed spinach prices had doubled compared to the previous week, selling for Rs20 to Rs25 per kg. The price of local carrots witnessed a 41% increase, rising to Rs45/kg, while a Chinese variety of the vegetable was available for Rs60/kg.
